(LegalLaw247.com, October 29, 2011 ) Indianapolis, Indiana - On September 19, 2011, the Indiana Supreme Court and the Indiana Commission for Continuing Legal Education placed Indiana and Florida attorney David J. Tipton on the Registry of Approved Court Mediators for civil litigation cases throughout the State of Indiana.
A veteran of 27 years of civil trial and litigation advocacy in Indiana, Florida and across the country, Tipton has been a solo practitioner since 2009 in Indianapolis, Indiana, but has practiced with several firms in the past including Holland & Knight (Florida) and most recently Taft, Stettinius and Hollister (Indianapolis). Besides representing his own clients, Tipton collaborates with other firms to help them on a contract or of-counsel basis to resolve complex litigation cases.
With approximately 30 trials and 100 depositions under his belt in complex litigation cases, Tipton is expanding his legal services to include mediation. Tipton's legal experience ranges from business disputes including breach of contract, business torts (civil wrongs creating claims for damages) including unfair competition, fraud, defamation, civil theft, interference with contract and abuse of process; commercial, contract and real estate disputes; Debtor/Creditor disputes including foreclosure, creditor representation in bankruptcy court, lender liability, and commercial lease disputes; golf course and golf business disputes; environmental including liability insurance coverage and bad faith; professional liability, class actions, and employment including whistleblower claims.
Tipton will continue to serve his business clients as their attorney, but is making himself available for mediations throughout Indiana.
