Hickey Law Firm, P.A. Attorney Featured in Professionalism Panel

(LegalLaw247.com, June 25, 2012 ) Miami, FL - John H. (Jack) Hickey of the Hickey Law Firm, P.A., was honored to serve as a panel member, along with four judges, at a discussion entitled “Practicing With Professionalism,” produced by the Young Lawyers Division of the Florida Bar and held in April 2012. This seminar was mandatory for all newly admitted attorneys into the Florida Bar.

Hickey sat on this panel with four judges from the Circuit and County Courts of Miami-Dade County and took place in downtown Miami. Hickey was also admitted into the Eleventh Circuit Committee on Professionalism, an organization created to mentor and counsel attorneys on matters of professional behavior inside and outside of the courtroom.

“It was a real privilege to be able to talk about such a critical issue with attorneys just coming into the field,” Hickey said. “It is so important to maintain professionalism in all aspects of the legal field. We are dealing with important issues that impact people’s lives in a real way, and we have to be able to leave our egos at the door and fight for our clients in the best ways we can.”

Hickey is the principle attorney at the Hickey Law Firm, P.A., where he handles injury or wrongful death cases for victims of cruise ship accidents and assault as well as general personal injury and other situations. He is a Martindale-Hubbell AV-rated attorney and is a past president of the Dade County Bar Association. He has served as an attorney in Florida since 1980, leaving the insurance industry to practice personal injury law. Hickey’s success as a trial attorney and his high level of legal knowledge and experience have made him a sought-after author, speaker and guest on news shows such as Anderson Cooper 360 and Headline News.
