OÂ’Connor, Acciani & Levy Report Crossroads Project in Columbus Nearing Completion

(LegalLaw247.com, August 23, 2013 ) COLUMBUS, OH— After two years of work on what would be the largest project the Ohio Department of Transportation has undertaken in Central Ohio, the Crossroads Project is slated to be finished by mid-November.

Interstate 71 south and Interstate 670 west underwent a heavy amount of construction in order to improve the safety of the structures that were first built over 50 years ago. In total, 30 retaining walls and 22 new bridges were constructed during the project.

As the interstate sets to open in September, drivers will have to be aware of the changing patterns of traffic in the area as the project wraps up. On Monday, the ramp from I-670 west to I-71 south will open a left lane as an exit only to Cleveland Avenue, while the right is the ramp for I-71 south.

O’Connor, Acciani & Levy would like to remind drivers to practice safe and patient driving habits while the Crossroads Project comes to a close in order to avoid unnecessary accidents. Driving defensively is a helpful and easy way to help all Columbus drivers arrive safely to their destination.
