Bicyclist Killed By Motor vehicle Reports Phillips Law Group

 



(LegalLaw247.com, October 05, 2013 ) PHOENIX, AZ – On Thursday evening a man was struck and killed when he turned his bicycle in front of a moving vehicle.

The collision occurred on McDowell Road near 33rd Avenue in Phoenix around 6 p.m. Police reports indicate that the man was riding his bike on a sidewalk when he suddenly turned his bike into oncoming traffic.

The vehicle was traveling westbound carrying two people when the bicycle struck the windshield of the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has estimated 52,000 bicyclists have experienced injuries in 2008, and over 200 have died in car accidents in the United States.
