A routine traffic stop led to the discovery of a Philadelphia warehouse where the drug ring was held. Kathleen Kane, a Pennsylvania Attorney General, told a local news radio station: " We are targeting these drug trafficking organisations who are bringing large amounts of poison into our streets and disturbing the streets of Philadelphia." The bust comes after a 30 day period of investigation. Law enforcement's think the drugs originate in Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic and as far as Columbia. Police are certain that another big drug paddler is next in line but as of now, six suspects are facing counts for the production of drugs, possession of illicit substances, plotting and being involved in illegal activities.
A representative from Drug Rehab Philadelphia said: " Unfortunately, there are always dealers who are interested in selling drugs in states that already have a problem with overdose deaths. Luckily, the police are paying close attention to the illegal activities taking place and are working hard to make sure they are ceased. Six people were arrested and all of the drugs were confiscated making the Philadelphia area a much safer place already."
