"Skylanders Figures - which ones should I buy for my child?"
Well if it is not obvious by now, it will be by the time you have read this. In 2011 Activision bought to every games console, PC, Mac and iPad "Skylanders:Spyro's adventure" which follows Spyro and over 30 of his Skylander friends into different worlds where they battle the villain, Kaos.
However, you can only play with a character on screen if you have the actual figure to put onto the game playing portal. There are also 8 types of Skylander (Fire, Tech, Water, Magic, Undead, Life, Earth and Air) and cleverly the game makers have made certain areas where only certain TYPES of Skylander Figures can enter. Meaning that to complete the game, you do have to have every element of Character.
The question is, which is the character from each element that everybody wants their Skylanders Figures? In last years game, it was Spyro (magic), Trigger Happy (Tech) and so on.
Now you do not want to let your children down this Christmas, and that is because every child with any games console is going to ant the Skylanders Giants game, with some giant characters. Side note: characters from last year and the portal that came with your 2011 Skylanders game will work with the new game. It is just that there are new characters to choose from and they are GIANTS.
Each of the elements mentioned above, have a brand new giant Skylander that is bigger and stronger than the other characters. They are fast becoming collectors items, just like the characters from last years game.
