In an undisclosed location in Florida, Anthony was questioned via video conference concerning the disappearance of her daughter, as well as her connection to Zenaida Gonzalez and Sawgrass apartments, among other matters. Few questions were answered, however, with her attorney repeatedly invoking her right against self-incrimination, found under the 5th Amendment. Anthony did answer a question regarding the last time she spoke with her parents and acknowledged that she is facing a civil lawsuit.
The civil defamation lawsuit claims that Gonzalez suffered damages due to false accusations made by Anthony that a woman by the same name kidnapped her daughter. Upon the disappearance of her daughter Caylee, Anthony claimed that the child was in the custody of a babysitter by the name of Zenaida Gonzalez, whom she referred to as Zanny the Nanny. Investigators questioned Gonzalez of Kissimme, but quickly discovered that she had nothing to do with the childs disappearance. Zanny the Nanny was never found.
