Mrs. Nohren is married to Jeffrey L. Nohren and they have two sons, William and Benjamin. The family resides in Shelbyville, Illinois. Liz received her undergraduate degree from Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Illinois, after completing her first year at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. Her law degree comes from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois. She also studied at Northwestern University School of Law in Chicago.
Mrs. Nohrens experience includes clerking for the Chief Judge of the Chancery Division in Cook County, Illinois, working as an associate attorney with Field & Golan n/k/a Golan & Christie in Chicago, Illinois, and then working as a partner at Dove & Dove, Attorneys where she currently practices law. In 2010 Liz received the Illini Radio Groups Outstanding Women You Should Know award.
