Interventions for health care: Violence in hospitals is a growing danger; a study of emergency room nurses alone revealed that within one week, half had been verbally abused and one in 10 had been physically threatened. Anti-bullying strategies: This strong focus area will continue to grow, through outreach to parents (http://managebullying.com) and extracurricular programming. These initiatives serve to move forward the vision of Dr. George Thompson, founder of this methodology (once known as Verbal Judo). Thompson died unexpectedly in June, 2011.
