Fallen Soldiers vs Celebrities: Veterans Launch New Website to Honor Lifes Real Heroes.

(LegalLaw247.com, May 21, 2012 ) Sallisaw, Oklahoma -- With commodity celebrities often owning the attention of the modern mass media, two veterans from Oklahoma announce the launch of a new website to shine the spotlight on those who often go unnoticed.

AmericanHeroProject.org is the work of Clint Davis (Navy Vet) and Dustin DeMoss (Air Force Vet). The site and its associated Facebook group will remember one fallen service member each week, with the hope of shifting the medias attention back to those who have given a sacrifice that most celebrities are not brave enough to entertain.

Co-Founder Dustin DeMoss explains more about the current problem:

Its ironic this morning I visited a major online news outlet and was greeted with the headline Celebrity Stunners who dont even need makeup, yet this week we lost seven U.S service people in Afghanistan and the media are acting like it didnt happen, DeMoss says.

He continues, These are seven people who died for the continued freedom of the American people, yet our news media would rather jump on stories about Ellen DeGeneress new house or the secrets to Christie Brinkleys eternal youth. It just goes to show how shallow the news media can be when they actually have a responsibility to tell the stories and aspirations of those who served abroad and didnt come home alive.

AmericanHeroProject.org will be officially launching on May 28th; Memorial Day. Wanting to feature memorials to the lives, dreams and hopes of fallen service people, the sites founders are inviting the public to share the stories of their loved ones.

We are giving everyone who has lost someone a chance to share that persons story, says Clint Davis.

We will feature one fallen service member each week on our website and our Facebook group. In doing so, we hope the media will consider leaving the celebrities alone for once and turning their attention to those brave soldiers who have made such a difference in the world.

Stories are welcome from the friends and families of fallen soldiers, sailors, airmen, coast guards and marines. Information can be submitted to the websites Founders via email: dustindemoss@gmail.com
