New Website, KeepAmericaHonest.com to help eliminate false advertising

(LegalLaw247.com, June 04, 2012 ) Bloomington, MN -- Every time people walk through the doors of a business they vote for the business. The question is, “do we have enough information about the business to vote?” Information is the tool to prevent life’s problems and paves the way to life’s success is the question asked by Steve Triebernig, founder of the new consumer watchdog website, KeepAmericaHonest.com.

Too many times hotels, resorts and other places will allow guests to book a room online for a certain price and then when they arrive, charge them an entirely different and higher amount. This happened to Mr. Triebernig when he made reservation at a waterpark resort. The room was booked online for $119, but when he and his family arrived, the front desk tried to charge them over $400. He was told if he tried to cancel, his credit card would be charged $135.

His hope is to protect other families and consumers from this type of thing happening. The purpose of his new website is to give consumers information on how to ask the right questions when booking a reservation online.

“If one person can affect only a 100 others and two people can affect 10 thousand others, how many people can we affect if we all stand together? With Strength in numbers and together we can move mountains, “says Mr. Triebernig.
