The recall involves the following brand names: GE, GE Adora, GE Eterna, GE Profile and Hotpoint dishwashers. The recalled appliances were sold across the country between March 2006 and Aug. 2009 for $350 to $850 and sold in white, stainless steel, black, bisque and CleanSteel exterior colors and finishes. The CPSC is advising that consumers stop using the recalled dishwashers immediately and turn off the fuse or circuit breaker supplying the appliance with electricity.
