(LegalLaw247.com, October 05, 2012 ) HARTFORD, CT – Whole Foods Markets has recently announced that soup will be recalled in their stores in six different states, one of which is Connecticut. According to the FDA, the soup products were mislabeled, putting purchasers at serious potential risk. Currently, signs are present in Whole Foods Market stores warning customers that the product has been recalled and that the affected soups have been removed from all shelves. The mislabeled Kitchen soups include Roasted Garlic and Eggplant Soup, which were actually Lobster Bisque. The issue in these mislabeled soups is in the potential life threating allergic reaction that would occur if the consumer has some sort of mile or shellfish allergy. Dependent upon the severity of the allergy, consumers could be placed in serious danger if these mislabeled soups were to be ingested.

For those Whole Foods Market customers who have already purchased the mislabeled soup products, the store will be taking the items back and giving a full refund. The soup is found in 24oz containers and the label’s sell-by-date is October 4, 2012.

If you have consumed one of the mislabeled soups and suffered an allergic reaction following consumption, a Hartford personal injury attorney may be necessary.
