Reportedly, one of the new agreements affects 16,000 employees in Ohio and Alabama who work at the company’s domestic flat-rolled and iron ore mining facilities and tubular operations. Approximately 1,000 workers at a subsidiary’s welded tubular products facility in Texas are covered by the second agreement. The agreements contain no-strike clauses and allow for a 2% wage increase on Sept. 1, 2013 and a 2.5% wage increase on Jan. 1, 2015. The agreements are set to expire on Sept. 1, 2015.
