Jackets For Jobs CEO Alison Vaughn attends Official Presidential Ball

(LegalLaw247.com, January 22, 2013 ) Jackets For Jobs CEO Alison Vaughn is not a newcomer to the spotlight. Her non-profit organization has been featured on NBC’s Today Show, The View, Oprah and many others. This time Ms. Vaughn was invited to Washington D.C. to share the red carpet with President Barack Obama.

The Official Presidential Ball had over 65,000 applicants and Alison Vaughn was among the few chosen to attend. “I’m so excited to be here. Most people only dream of an opportunity like this and I actually get to live my dreams,” Vaughn gushed. “It’s really humbling to think that I get to be a part of history.”

There are many Presidential Balls but what most people don’t know is that there are only two official balls that the Commander And Chief and Vice President are scheduled to attend. The American presidential inauguration occurs every four years and invites a spectacular amount of fanfare. The new (or incumbent) President gets his own day of feasting, procession, statesmanship, and celebration. The United States marks its transition of government with a weekend of events that have developed over time to become our modern-day inauguration.

The theme of the 2013 Inauguration of President Barack Obama is “Faith in America's Future”, which recalls the installation of the Statue of Freedom on the Capitol Dome 150 years ago in 1863.

Jackets For Jobs leader Alison Vaughn agrees fully. “America’s future is our children and we need to do everything possible to make sure that America remains the best place to raise a family,” said Vaughn. “At Jackets For Jobs we provide opportunity to those who otherwise wouldn’t have a chance to succeed. It’s a great feeling to know that we make a difference in the lives of others.”

At Jackets For Jobs, Alison Vaughn leads a team that provides interview skills and new designer professional attire to those less fortunate. A cause that she has led for over a decade, Jackets For Jobs will celebrate their 13th anniversary this year. “We are so excited to be a part of positive change. Our only hope is that we can impact more lives as we move forward,” Ms. Vaughn said. “There is so much work to be done and even after all these years we feel like we’re just getting started.”
