I-10 was closed for approximately three hours while the accident was being cleared up.
The crashes that occurred earlier in the week involved semi-trucks and took place near the median on the highway, which caused them to spill over into traffic that was traveling in the opposite direction.
At this time, law enforcement has not released the identity of the victim. The two other people that were involved in the crash were uninjured.
