The front brake torque member was not cast correctly during the manufacturing process which could result in structural weakness and eventually lead to premature cracking and failure. If the brake torque component fails, the brake caliper can shift and contact the inside of the road wheel resulting in reduced braking. The recall is expected to begin in May 2013 and Nissan will be notifying owners affected. Nissan dealers will also be inspecting the manufacturing date of the torque member and replacing it, free of charge, if needed.
