Wrong-Way Accident On I-95 Kills Four in Minivan Reports Gordon & Doner

 



(LegalLaw247.com, April 04, 2013 ) Fort Lauderdale, FL – Four people were killed early Wednesday in a wrong-way accident on Interstate 95 south.

Florida Highway Patrol officers reported chasing a sports utility vehicle traveling northbound on the interstates southbound lanes. The SUV crashed into a minivan killing all four passengers inside and sending dozens of pieces of debris across the highway. The driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital and suffered two broken legs.

Further reports indicate that the SUV was being pursued by police from Opa-loca in Miami Dade County, when one of the officers saw the man throw a gun out the window before crashing into the minivan. The accident caused all southbound lanes on I-95 to shut down while further investigation took place.
