AAA Offering Free Towing Services over Labor Day Weekend Reports the Eichholz Law Firm

(LegalLaw247.com, August 29, 2013 ) Savannah, GA – AAA and Bud Light have teamed up to offer a “Tow to Go” service that will hopefully lead to safer roads over the holiday weekend.

The campaign will run between August 30th and September 2nd in Savannah, Georgia and will offer intoxicated drivers a free vehicle tow in order to get them, and a passenger, home safely. The towing service is meant to be used as a last resort and is based on the availability of AAA service technicians and tow trucks.

Since the program’s inception in 1998, Tow to Go has removed more than 20,000 intoxicated drivers from the road. As the service is only to be used as a last resort, further guidelines were set up by AAA and Bud Light, including:

• Tow trucks can take up to two people home; if there are more in your party other arrangements should be made to get them home safely.
• You cannot make an appointment for Tow to Go services.
• If necessary AAA may have to contact law enforcement or a cab company to assist in getting the intoxicated driver home safely.

Those who are in need of services during Labor Day weekend can contact AAA at (855) 2-TOW-2-GO or (855) 286-9246 to receive a confidential local ride, within a 10-mile radius, to a safe location.

In 2008 there were more than 400 alcohol-related fatal car accidents in Georgia, 11 of which were in Chatham County. Driving under the influence is a serious offense and the Eichholz Law Firm would like to remind drivers to always designate a driver.

If you or a loved one has been injured in an accident caused by an intoxicated driver, our attorneys can help you determine if you may be eligible to make a claim. For more information on your legal rights, visit www.thejusticelawyer.com.
