Jonathan Perkins Injury Lawyers Report No Injuries from Glastonbury Gas Leak

(LegalLaw247.com, August 22, 2013 ) EAST HARTFORD, CT — A six-inch gas main was struck by construction crews in Glastonbury, CT around 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 20 causing a gas leakage in the area. Statements from Connecticut Natural Gas confirm that the leak did not affect any homes or businesses in the area and that the leak was secured and the main shut off.

The affected stretch of Main Street near Hillcrest Road was shut down by the Glastonbury Fire Department until a single lane opened around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday evening. CNG officials also confirmed that residents still have gas in their homes and no injuries were reported from the incident.

Gas leaks can be extremely dangerous if not contained and combustion can result if the gas comes into contact with a heat source or open flame. The physical harm that can come from a gas explosion can be debilitating and life threatening, and luckily no Glastonbury residents sustained any burns, lacerations or death.

If you or someone you love experienced a gas explosion or if a gas leak resulted from the negligence of another person or entity, you may be entitled to compensation because of the physical and emotional trauma you endured.
