Oyster Festival Ride Malfunction Injures 12 Children, Reports Jonathan Perkins Injury Lawyers

(LegalLaw247.com, September 12, 2013 ) EAST HARTFORD, CT — A frightening ordeal took place for many families enjoying the Norwalk Oyster Festival on Sunday, September 8 when a children’s swing ride lost power while in use and injured 13 of the 23 people on the ride.

Sam Razzaia, a witness, said, "People were screaming. Kids were screaming and crying, and the frantic parents were knocking the barriers over to get to their children." The traumatic scene took place Sunday, September 8 around 2:30 p.m., and parents watched while the ride lost power and caused the children to slam into one another as the swing came to an abrupt halt.

The Norwalk Seaport Association, one of the event’s organizers, said in a statement, “Our concerns remain for the well-being of those involved and their families. We are continuing to cooperate with the authorities."

Victims of the Norwalk ride malfunction should seek legal counsel to determine whether they have a personal injury claim that could entitle them to compensation for any medical treatment required from their injuries.
