Ice ball model makes the news
This was the latest in a long struggle to address the copyright infringement from an actual counterfeit kitchen tools seller. Before completely losing control of the listing, Ice Sphere Tech had suffered page modifications including brand name changes. One of their kitchen essentials product listings had the ASIN changed, resulting in Ice Sphere Tech losing all of their reviews and high seller performance ratings.
They were able to reverse the changes, but the next day when they discovered they had been completely blocked from their own cool kitchen gadgets listing, the pains of trademark infringement had reached new highs. Ice Sphere Tech responded to Amazon with proof that they were the legal owners of the trademark and the real company and twelve hours later, resumed control of the new kitchen gadgets listing.
Just days later, the counterfeit seller had again listed themselves on the product. Why has Amazon not blocked the counterfeit kitchen essentials seller the way they blocked the real one from the listing? Russell Card does not know. Resorting to lawyers is the last thing he wants to do, but if Amazon does not take an active role in blocking this seller, he may be forced to take legal action.
