Innovative Technology for Curbing Homelessness and Mental Health Problems Launching in Clark County, Nevada

(LegalLaw247.com, October 18, 2014 ) SPIRIT has entered into an agreement with Clark County Department of Social Services, to provide a real-time technological platform to aid agencies in assisting individuals with homelessness and/or mental health conditions that come in contact with local law enforcement.

“The SPIRIT Platform of services provides game-changing real time tools to all agencies dealing or struggling with a wide variety of criminal justice and social service issues,” said William Nidiffer, Chairman of the Board of The Spirit Project.

SPIRIT Project was originated, developed and piloted in Clark County, NV three years ago with a focus on troubled youth and families for the purpose of connecting individuals, agencies and communities to services that improve their health, safety, and well-being. Through SPIRIT’s service offerings, Government agencies are connected to community-wide referral information in real time displaying the capacity and availability of vetted resources, beds and treatment referrals.

Tim Burch, Director of Clark County, Nevada’s Department of Social Service, a proponent of this new technology explains, “SPIRIT is not just a new toolset; it’s a whole new way to do business. The level of real-time connectivity and data visibility with community resources is something we've never had before. We're excited to have access to such an innovative and scalable solution.”

In addition to their work in Clark County Nevada, SPIRIT is expanding in Tennessee, Florida and Virginia.
