For the month of October 2014, local personal injury attorney and sponsor Richard Schwartz presented Bobbye Lynn Dunnam of Calvary Christian School of Meridian with the award.

The surprise ceremony took place in the school gym, among students and staff.

Mrs. Dunnam is vice president of the school and teaches, as well. She described the acceptance of her Golden Apple as “one of the happiest days of [her] life” and accredits her mother with piquing her interest in teaching.
