OSHA Takes Action After Ohio’s Rise In Workplace Deaths

(LegalLaw247.com, February 04, 2015 ) Cincinnati, OH -- The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (commonly called OSHA) has recently revealed that 38 to 48 deaths in the workplace are occurring each year in Ohio.

These numbers have been slowly increasing over the past five years, which is the opposite of what is happening across most of the United States. Nationwide, deaths in the workplace have declined by roughly a thousand reports a year when comparing the 5,764 reports that were made in 2004 and the 4,628 in 2012.

Because of Ohio’s increase, OSHA has announced they will be putting more efforts toward safety awareness in the workplace. They will be providing free educational materials and training courses to better prepare businesses for using potentially dangerous equipment or substances. For businesses to request this opportunity, they may dial 1-800-282-1425.
