Human Trafficking To Be Discussed On The Ed Bernstein Show

(LegalLaw247.com, June 23, 2015 ) Las Vegas, NV -- Within the recent years, Las Vegas law enforcement officials have been able to recover over 100 children that were victims of human trafficking. It’s a serious topic that most people don’t talk about, or even realize is happening as close as their very own town.

This Sunday our host, www.edbernstein.com">Ed Bernstein, will interview Miss Nevada Amanda Gibson and Sarah-Jane Vegas, both of which are advocates against human trafficking.

Amanda Gibson was crowned Miss Nevada 2015 on April 19th of this year and, in her new role, has been given the platform to spread the awareness of human trafficking across our nation. She’s worked with Congress member Joe Heck to combat the issue and ensure better protection against these crimes, especially for children.

Over a million children are trafficked every year. Of these crimes that occur in Nevada, 62% are local to the area.

A dear friend of Ms. Gibson’s, Sarah-Jane Vegas, is a native of France, where she was once a victim of human trafficking. On the show, she will share the details of how she overcame the experience and is now applying it to find justice for similar victims. One way of doing this is through www.Stand4Justice.org, which gets the public involved with this worthwhile cause.

Tune in to Channel 3 this Sunday at 3pm to watch this important episode of The Ed Bernstein Show.
