14 Arrested in Butler County Drug Sweep, Cincinnati Drug Rehab Responds

(LegalLaw247.com, November 11, 2016 ) Cincinnati, OH -- Cincinnati.com reports that the Butler County Undercover Regional Narcotics Taskforce arrest 14 people on counts of drug possession and trafficking. 14 others with active warrants remain at large, however Sheriff Richard Jones stated he is still pursuing them and does not believe in amnesty for drug offenders. 189 people died in Butler County died of drug related causes in 2015; by June of 2016 the county had experienced 93 deaths. Heroin attributed to a majority of the deaths in each year.

Heroin rehab in Cincinnati is an unfortunate necessity. As a leading provider, Cincinnati Drug Rehab must commend the efforts in reducing access to illicit substances. However, we urge Sheriff Jones to recognize the harm in his mentality toward people with substance abuse disorders.

A representative of Cincinnati Drug Rehab comments,
"Sheriff Jones' dedication to protecting the people of Butler County is commendable; his attitude toward people living with substance abuse disorders is not. While he may think the 'no holds barred' approach is best, it's been proven more damaging that good. Butler County needs greater access to recovery resources and education, not strict legal ramifications and harsh sentencing. That only goes to ruin more lives than it aids."
